While the standard CPU for this build is the 32-core 2990WX, you can opt for half the number of cores with the 2950X. Stick with the full-fat option however and you’ll be treated to multithreaded performance that’s unbeatable at this price.

In order to maintain the best boost level under load, we’ve installed the type of water cooling usually reserved for our overclocked systems. In this case, our reliable workhorse the Corsair H100i Extreme. Look out Cinebench!

The CPU is backed up by the ASUS ROG ZENITH EXTREME, because any good build needs a solid foundation. They don’t come much more solid than this. The board will accommodate up to 128GB of DDR4 RAM, should you need that much.

We’ve put the latest Samsung EVO 97 NVME drive into the A399 Octane to deal with all OS duties. Along with a reliable 2TB mechanical drive for mass storage purposes.

As standard the A399 Octane ships with the powerful RTX 2070, but clients can add up to three additional cards to build a killer GPU rendering station. It’s easy to add additional CPUs later in the system’s life cycle and thanks to the Threadripper at the core of the system you’ll never run into CPU bottlenecks.
