Portable
Workstation laptops are the ultimate portable workstation solutions, but they still struggle with the thermal and power constraints all laptops must contend with. If you don’t need the absolute mobility of a workstation laptop, but need to transport your workstation or move it around a building, then the Titan C261 is an excellent solution.

By default, the C261 is equipped with the i5-12600K, one of Intel’s best price-to-performance CPUs since the venerable i5 2500K. As with all Alder Lake 12th-gen CPUs, this little monster offers both hyperthreaded performance cores and power-efficient cores. This offers a peerless balance of high-performance CPUs for tasks such as CPU-based conversion or rendering, while the efficiency cores keep the computer usable for front-end work. If you need more performance, you can opt for the i7 or i9 Alder Lake chips.

We’ve equipped the C261 with 32GB of RAM, but the Gigabyte Z690I motherboard supports up to 64GB, which should satisfy the vast majority of workstation use cases.

The GPU choices on offer using the Lian Li TU150 Mini ITX case are broad. We’ve provided a Quadro T400 card at the base price, which is perfect for video editing or CAD, but if you want to throw an RTX 3090 or RTX 8000 in there, nothing’s stopping you. Other than switching from the base 550W PSU to the 850W option that is.

We’ve installed a single fast 1TB NVME drive for operating system and application use, with no internal mass storage by default. A second NVME slot, as well as support for two additional SATA drives, means that you have many storage upgrade options, but there are also two Thunderbolt 4 ports in this system, so fast external mass storage is simple to use.

Of course, as with every Titan workstation, you get two years of parts replacement and lifetime labor and technical support. So you’re buying much more than just a workstation!
