Titan S375 - Dual AMD EPYC ROME 7002 Series Processors Rackmount Server PC for Scientific Research up to 128 cores

AMD’s Epyc Rome processors are taking the CPU industry by storm. Representing a massive leap in CPU architecture, AMD have managed to match Intel’s instructions per cycle performance, while putting more cores into a single processor than anyone else has managed. Not only do you get more cores in each CPU die, but you get it for a much lower price. A margin that we have used to pack extra performance into other aspects of this scientific research machine. Ensuring that those data-hungry processors never want for attention.

The base configuration of the S375 come with two eight-core Epyc Rome CPUs, for a combined 16 cores and 32 threads. That’s already a formidable amount of computing power at your fingertips, but it’s possible to push this beast all the way to the top. If you want the ultimate thread-muncher, then we can equip the S375 with two flagship 64-core Rome CPUs. That’s a whopping 128 cores and 256 threads. In one rack-mounted chassis. Which would also be a good time to increase the base 32GB of RAM to the Supermicro motherboard’s maximum of 2TB of RAM. If you can think of a workload that requires more memory than that, you’d be better off building your own cloud computing center. Actually, buying a few S375s would be a good start!

It’s astounding to think that all this processing power can be supported by an 850W (up to 1500W) PSU, but the amazing power efficiency of Epyc Rome means what once required an entire room full of servers will now take up the same space as a desktop computer.

It doesn’t sound like a room full of old servers either! With dual Noctua NH-U9 premium CPU coolers, you’ll barely hear this system over the sound of your own excitement.

The base system is designed for CPU-heavy workloads, but if you want some GPU power to complement it, there’s room for two GPU cards of your choice. Likewise, the base system has a sole 4TB mechanical drive to house your huge datasets, but if you want some SSD-based oomph there’s an M.2 NVME drive just waiting for something hot and fast.

The last time something this powerful was put into a box this small, it was setting of geiger counters. So if you have a hankering for CPU power, but don’t have an unlimited budget, the S375 is the one to beat!
